There are 2 possible Abraham C's who could be the spouse of Sarah Harvey and thus the progenitor of the Bexhill Christians:
1) Abraham, s. of Stephen, c. 1639 (this one), or
2) Abraham, s. of Abraham, c. 1642
In the absence of any other evidence, the name of the first child (Stephen) suggests 1) more probably than 2) since this would be the name of his father and elder brother. | CHRISTIAN, Abraham (I153)

There are 3 Elizabeth Burtons bapt around the right time in Lenham, Kent
5 Oct 1788, d. Richard+Ann
12 Oct 1788, d. George+Ann
15 Dec 1793, d. George+Ann
Since the first of these has a sister Rebecca, she seems the more likely to use the names Richard and Rebecca for her children. It also seems likely that the second of these died before 1793.

There has to be some doubt about Jane's surname. The marriage entry in the Myroe register says McCalfer, but there seems to be no other occurrence of the name - an on-line search produces not a single hit. Her daughter Martha's death certificate says McCaffer, which is more plausible, even if the source is not 100% reliable (the informant is her son). | MCCAFFER, Jane (I33)

There is a mystery here: in the 1911 census, the widowed Martha is living with her brother. Nita is named Nita Palmer (niece of head) and she has a presumed brother James Palmer, age 20.
In the 1901 census (RG13; Piece: 114; Folio: 140; Page: 10), James is living with his grandparents, not with his presumed mother Martha. A James Palmer is born Sep 1890 Marylebone 1a 256, Nita Elizabeth Palmer Jun 1893 Marylebone 1a 595. Does this mean Nita was not Martha's child, but the child of a deceased sister who married a Palmer, or an unmarried sister? | ALBURY, Martha Jane (I359)
